The sense of creation at Aveda took place in India where Horst gained greater appreciation for the power of wellness to promote balance in mind, body and spirit. He met Shiv Nath Tandon in Rishikesh, India, with whom he developed his first shampoo in a kitchenware in Minneapolis, along with three doctors. So everyone has been working for Aveda since the early 1970s.
Aveda was born out of a well-organized partnership with the vision to bring nature professionals natural products made with pure flowers and herbal extracts.
